Dressings for prevention

Mepilex® Border Sacrum can add to your HAPU prevention program by redistributing shear forces, reducing friction, redistributing pressure and balancing the microclimate. Here’s how it works:

Five layers of control

The absorption, spreading, and retention layers aid in maintaining an optimal moisture level.  These layers are also critical in dissipating shear and redistributing pressure.

Mölnlycke’s unique proprietary Safetac® technology resides closest to the skin. For pressure ulcer prevention, its elasticity dissipates shear forces and allows for assistance with the dressing after skin assessment. Safetac® technology has been proven to minimize pain to patients during dressing changes and does not cause skin reactions1, 2, 3
