Kathy DiBenedetto will share the story of how her system added daily CHG bathing in their infection reduction bundle to reduce HAIs and, Troy Cutler will share the story of how Maine General Medical Center was able to get rid of isolation gowns, and patient isolation in many cases, by adding daily patient bathing with 4% CHG. He will also share their cost savings realized.

- Implement a house-wide Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHG) bathing policy to standardize practice
- Examine all infection reduction rates and bundles
- Reduce costs associated with MDRO patients in isolation by getting rid of isolation gowns and adding CHG bathing to an infection reduction bundle
- Understand how removing patients from isolation can improve patient satisfaction, and improve staff interaction with patients
