Program Summary

Surgical gloves are a major part of a healthcare professional’s working life, especially those who work in the Operating Room. Currently there is no standardized approach to best gloving practices.  As such, a growing body of research has highlighted global safety concerns for both patients and healthcare professionals around glove performance, glove damage and the frequency of glove changes needed to minimize breaches in aseptic barriers during surgery. This session will be centered on implementing standardized guidelines for best gloving practices.
